TI 2026 Day 2 schedule, storylines, and what to watch on Aug 14
Day 2 of the TI 2026 group stage runs Aug 14. The marquee matchup is TEAM VISION vs BoomBoys (the de facto EU derby). Here are the Day 2 schedule and the four storylines to watch.

Day 2 schedule (Aug 14, all times UTC)
Day 2 of the TI 2026 group stage features Round 3 — the 8 teams that went 2-0 play each other, the 8 teams that went 1-1 play each other, and the 8 teams that went 0-2 play each other. The 2-0 bracket determines the de facto group favorites; the 0-2 bracket is the start of the elimination race.

The four storylines I'm watching
1. Can VISION lock 3-0 vs BoomBoys?
TEAM VISION (PARIVISION) and BoomBoys (BetBoom Team) are both 2-0 going into Day 2. The matchup at 05:00 UTC is the de facto EU derby. The winner is the early favorite for the upper bracket of the playoffs. VISION is favored on paper (EWC 2026 champion, 8-2 game record), but BoomBoys' 2-0 over OG on Day 1 was a statement. The series is the most-watched Bo3 of the group stage so far.
2. Team Spirit vs Team Liquid — the 2-0 EU showdown
The other 2-0 matchup is the 2-time TI champion (Spirit) vs the TI 2025 runner-up (Liquid). Yatoro vs Nisha is the marquee mid-lane matchup. Both teams went 2-0 on Day 1 with strong performances. The winner locks a 3-0 lead in the upper-bracket race; the loser drops to 2-1 and into a Day 3 2-1 matchup.
3. Iron Wing vs Team Falcons — the ex-Tundra test
Iron Wing (ex-Tundra) is 1-1 going into Day 2 (2-0 over HULIGANI, 1-2 loss to BoomBoys). Team Falcons is also 1-1 (2-1 over LGD, 1-2 loss to VISION). The matchup at 05:00 UTC is the test of whether the ex-Tundra roster can hang with the defending TI 2025 champions. 33 vs Cr1t- is the support-vs-mid duel to watch.
4. OG vs Team Resilience — the elimination match
OG (SEA) is 0-2 going into Day 2 after losses to BoomBoys and Nigma Galaxy. Team Resilience (China open qualifier) is also 0-2 after losses to TEAM VISION and LGD Gaming. The loser drops to 0-3 and is one Bo3 from elimination. OG's all-Filipino roster is playing in their first TI together; Resilience's open-qualifier roster has been the surprise of the tournament. The series is the most-watched 0-2 matchup of the day.
