Terms of service
Last updated: August 3, 2026. By using OFFLANE, you agree to these terms. The short version: use the site, credit us if you reuse our writing, don't sue us for opinions. The long version is below.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using OFFLANE (offlane.xyz or any subdomain thereof), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in a banner on the home page for 30 days. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. License to use the site
OFFLANE is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. You may:
- Read, share, and link to our articles.
- Quote up to 200 words per article with attribution.
- Subscribe to the RSS feed for personal reading.
- Submit corrections, pitches, and feedback via email.
You may not:
- Republish entire articles on another site (without our written permission).
- Scrape the site for the purpose of training AI models without our written permission.
- Use the site to harass, abuse, or harm other users.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, security measures, or access controls.
- Impersonate OFFLANE or any OFFLANE staff member.
3. License to our content
Unless otherwise noted, all editorial content (articles, guides, reviews, patch notes, tier lists, editorial) is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0). You can:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material.
Under the following terms:
- Attribution — you must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. A canonical link to the original article is the preferred form of attribution.
- NonCommercial — you may not use the material for commercial purposes. Commercial use requires our written permission.
Game cover art, game logos, and game trademarks are the property of their respective owners. We use them under fair use for editorial coverage. If you're a game developer and would like us to remove your trademark from a specific article, email [email protected].
4. Editorial opinions
OFFLANE is an editorial publication. The opinions expressed in our articles (reviews, tier lists, hot takes, patch predictions) are the opinions of the authors and do not represent the views of any game developer, publisher, platform holder, or OFFLANE staff member other than the author.
We do not accept payment in exchange for reviews, verdicts, tier placements, or any other editorial content. Sponsored placements (when they appear) are clearly labeled at the top of the article. Affiliate links are disclosed in the site footer on every page.
We strive to be accurate. When we make a factual error, we correct it and add a note at the bottom of the article. The full correction policy is on the /about page.
5. No professional advice
The content on OFFLANE is for informational and entertainment purposes only. It does not constitute professional advice of any kind. Specifically:
- Not financial advice.Nothing on OFFLANE is investment advice. Don't trade stocks based on our coverage. Don't bet on esports based on our picks.
- Not medical advice. Nothing on OFFLANE is medical advice. If you have a gaming-related injury (RSI, eye strain, etc.), see a doctor.
- Not legal advice. Nothing on OFFLANE is legal advice. If you have a legal question about gaming, see a lawyer.
- Not relationship advice.The "teamfight in 5" advice is gaming advice, not relationship advice. Don't yell at your partner.
6. Affiliate links
OFFLANE participates in affiliate programs with Steam, the Epic Games Store, Amazon, and other game retailers. When you click an affiliate link on OFFLANE and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission (typically 1-5% of the purchase price). This does not affect the price you pay.
We only link to products we've actually considered for the article. We do not accept payment in exchange for placing affiliate links. The full disclosure is on the /about page.
7. User-submitted content
We may allow user-submitted content (article pitches, comments, correction reports) in the future. When we do, the terms will be updated to cover:
- You retain ownership of your submission but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to publish it.
- You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.
- We reserve the right to remove any user-submitted content at our sole discretion.
(These terms are forward-looking; we do not currently accept user-submitted content other than via email.)
8. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to the site for any user who violates these terms. We will, where practical, provide notice before termination.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OFFLANE and its staff shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the site shall not exceed $100 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In those jurisdictions, the above limitation may not apply to you.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or the site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
