Privacy policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026. The short version: we collect almost nothing. The site is fully static, and we don't set tracking cookies. The longer version is below — including which ad networks we run and what each one collects.

What we collect (the short version)

We collect three things:

  1. Anonymous page-view counts via Cloudflare Web Analytics (no cookies, no fingerprinting, no IP storage — Cloudflare aggregates the data on their side).
  2. Voluntary email signups if you choose to subscribe to the newsletter. We use the email only to send the newsletter, and you can unsubscribe in one click.
  3. Voluntary pitch / contact emails if you email us at [email protected], [email protected], or [email protected]. We use the email only to respond to your message.

We do not collect: name, address, phone number, date of birth, government ID, payment information, precise location, device fingerprint, or any other personal data. We do not run any third-party advertising network. We do not sell or share any data with third parties.

What we don't do

  • No third-party behavioral tracking. We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any cross-site behavioral tracker. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and aggregates data on Cloudflare's side.
  • No social media pixels. We don't embed Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any other social-media tracking pixel.
  • No cross-site tracking. We don't share any user data with third parties for cross-site advertising or retargeting.
  • No fingerprinting. We don't use device fingerprinting, canvas fingerprinting, or any other technique to identify users across sessions.

Cookies and local storage

We set one localStorage entry and one sessionStorage entry. That's it.

  • sessionStorage["offlane-mini-player-popout"] — tracks which channel the user has "popped out" to the floating mini player. Cleared when the tab is closed. We do not transmit this value to any server.
  • localStorage["offlane-theme"] — tracks the user's preferred color scheme (light vs dark). We do not transmit this value to any server.

Both can be cleared by clearing your browser's site data for offlane.xyz. Clearing either has no effect on the user experience.

Third-party services we use

We embed content from a handful of third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Twitch, YouTube, Kick, Bilibili. We embed live-stream videos and on-demand video content. When you load a page with an embedded video, the embed provider may set their own cookies and collect their own data. We do not control this. See Twitch's privacy policy, Google's privacy policy, Kick's privacy policy, and Bilibili's privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare Pages + Web Analytics. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare collects request metadata (IP address, user agent, request path) for routing and analytics. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Steam, Epic Games Store, Amazon.Affiliate links to these stores pass through our affiliate-tracking URLs (e.g., a Steam store URL with our partner ID) before redirecting to the actual store. The redirect may set affiliate cookies. See the respective store's privacy policy for details.
  • Game cover art CDNs.We load game cover art from Steam (shared.cloudflare.steamstatic.com), FreeToGame (www.freetogame.com), LaunchBox (images.launchbox-app.com), and Wikipedia (upload.wikimedia.org). These requests are made directly from your browser to the CDN — we don't proxy them.

Third-party ad networks (current)

OFFLANE runs display ads in a few placements (header, sidebar, inline, footer) on most pages. House ads (promoting our own newsletter, deals, or tier lists) appear in any placement that no network has filled. We do not use any ad network that requires or sets tracking cookies, and none of the networks below share user-level data with OFFLANE — we only see aggregate revenue numbers.

Google AdSense was our primary network until August 2026 when Google disabled the publisher account. The current stack is chosen for zero or low traffic minimums, strong gaming-vertical fill, and best fill in our Indonesian / Southeast Asia audience:

  • Adsterra (banner, social bar, popunder) — Adsterra privacy policy. Uses contextual ads; may set device-level identifiers for frequency capping. No personal data shared with OFFLANE.
  • HilltopAds (banner) — HilltopAds privacy policy. Contextual ads for gaming traffic; may set device-level identifiers. No personal data shared with OFFLANE.
  • Monetag (Smart Tag) — Monetag privacy policy. Best fill in Indonesia / SEA / LATAM; contextual ads with frequency capping. No personal data shared with OFFLANE.
  • Coinzilla (banner) — Coinzilla privacy policy. Crypto / finance ad network; contextual ads.
  • A-ADS (banner) — A-ADS privacy policy. Crypto-only network; no KYC, no tracking cookies.

Up next, when traffic qualifies: Ezoic (page-level, requires 10K+ monthly pageviews) and Mediavine (premium, requires 50K sessions/month).

Children's privacy

OFFLANE is not directed at children under 13 (COPPA) or 16 (GDPR). We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

  • Right to access. You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to deletion. You can request that we delete any personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification. You can request that we correct any inaccurate personal data.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page and note the change at the bottom. Material changes (anything that affects what we collect or how we use it) will be announced in a banner on the home page for 30 days.
