The first-ever community mechanic for hero release order. Players vote in-game on which of the 6 heroes they want to see next.

The voting works as follows:

  • Each player gets 1 vote per

hero (no stacking)

  • Voting opens 24 hours before

each hero drops

  • The community vote result is

shown before each hero's official release

  • The vote is advisory (Valve

has the final call), but the first 2 weeks will follow the vote

This is the first time a live-service game has let players vote on hero release order. Riot (Valorant) and Blizzard (Overwatch) both use fixed release orders.

The Hideout pre-game lobby
