CS2 Cache smoke lineups after the Aug 13 rework — full T-side and CT-side guide

The Aug 13, 2026 Cache rework changed enough of the map's geometry that several classic smokes no longer work. This guide covers the 12 lineups you need to play Cache post-rework — both T-side executes and CT-side anti-rush setups.

The rework: mid warehouse removed (replaced with a single cover crate), A-site boxes realigned (CT-side boost spot blocked), and B-long sightline extended by 10 units. The old "warehouse stack" smoke that used to block mid from B-long no longer blocks the same angle.

T-side smokes

Mid smokes

Smoke 1: Block mid-to-B-long (replaces old warehouse smoke)

  • Stand: T-spawn, behind the white line at the very back
  • Aim: Top of the antenna, slightly left of the crane
  • Jump throw: full momentum, throw at apex
  • Result: Smoke blooms in mid, blocks the new B-long

sightline for 18 seconds

  • When to use: Default round, taking mid control

Smoke 2: One-way mid (new line for the rework)

  • Stand: Mid catwalk, right side
  • Aim: Crouch, look at the new cover crate's left edge
  • Throw: Run-throw
  • Result: Smoke blooms on the new crate, gives T-side a

one-way peek from catwalk

  • When to use: AWP setups where you want to peek mid

without exposing to B-long

A-site executes

Smoke 3: A-site heaven (unchanged from pre-rework)

  • Stand: A-main entrance
  • Aim: Top of the truck cab, left of the white panel
  • Throw: Jump throw
  • Result: Smoke blocks heaven for 18 seconds
  • When to use: A execute with a flash

Smoke 4: A-site CT-cross (slightly adjusted)

  • Stand: A-main entrance, right side
  • Aim: Top of the new box stack, slightly left
  • Throw: Jump throw
  • Result: Smoke blocks CT cross for 18 seconds
  • When to use: A execute with util-heavy lineup

Smoke 5: A-site default plant smoke

  • Stand: A-site, default plant position
  • Aim: Top of the forklift, right edge
  • Throw: Normal throw
  • Result: Smoke covers default plant for the round
  • When to use: After taking A-site

B-site executes

Smoke 6: B-site checkroom (unchanged)

  • Stand: B-tunnel entrance
  • Aim: Top of the checkroom doorway, left corner
  • Throw: Normal throw
  • Result: Smoke blocks checkroom for 18 seconds
  • When to use: B execute

Smoke 7: B-site heaven (slightly adjusted)

  • Stand: B-tunnel, right side
  • Aim: Top of the B-heaven entrance, right edge
  • Throw: Jump throw
  • Result: Smoke blocks B heaven for 18 seconds
  • When to use: B execute with util-heavy lineup

Smoke 8: B-site default plant smoke

  • Stand: B-site, default plant position
  • Aim: Top of the new B-site box, left edge
  • Throw: Normal throw
  • Result: Smoke covers default plant for the round
  • When to use: After taking B-site

CT-side smokes

Anti-eco smokes

Smoke 9: Mid-to-B-long block (replaces old CT mid smoke)

  • Stand: CT-spawn, behind the white box
  • Aim: Top of the antenna, slightly right
  • Throw: Jump throw
  • Result: Smoke blocks T-side mid-to-B-long push for

18 seconds

  • When to use: Anti-eco on T-side pistol rush

Smoke 10: A-site main entrance block

  • Stand: A-site, behind the new box stack
  • Aim: Bottom of the A-main doorway, left edge
  • Throw: Crouch throw
  • Result: Smoke blocks A-main push for 18 seconds
  • When to use: Anti-eco on T-side A rush

Smoke 11: B-site tunnel block

  • Stand: B-site, behind the forklift
  • Aim: Top of the B-tunnel entrance, right edge
  • Throw: Crouch throw
  • Result: Smoke blocks B-tunnel push for 18 seconds
  • When to use: Anti-eco on T-side B rush

Retake smokes

Smoke 12: A-site heaven retake

  • Stand: CT-spawn, looking toward A-site
  • Aim: Top of the A-site heaven, right edge
  • Throw: Run-throw
  • Result: Smoke blocks heaven for retake
  • When to use: Retaking A-site after T-side plant

How to practice these lineups

In a private server with sv_cheats 1:

  1. svinfiniteammo 1 — unlimited grenades
  2. svgrenadetrajectorypracpip 1 — see the grenade

arc

  1. bind n noclip — fly through the map to check

landing positions

  1. ammogrenadelimit_total 5 — practice 5-smoke

executes without reloading

In competitive:

  • Start with 2-3 lineups per week. Master one smoke at a

time.

  • Use the lineups in 3-5 matches per week to build

muscle memory.

  • After 2 weeks, expand to the full 12-smoke set.

Why these lineups work post-rework

The Aug 13 rework specifically targeted the mid warehouse stack and A-site boost spot — two of the most-used smokes in pro play. The new lineups account for the changed geometry: the mid-to-B-long smoke (Smoke 1) blocks the new wider sightline, the one-way mid smoke (Smoke 2) exploits the new cover crate, and the A-site CT-cross smoke (Smoke 4) is adjusted to the new box stack.

The other 10 lineups are largely unchanged from the pre-rework map — only the specific aim points have been adjusted to account for the new geometry.

Pro teams using these lineups

As of Aug 13:

  • Team Falcons (TI 2026 favorites) use Smoke 1 +

Smoke 3 as their default mid + A setup

  • Team Liquid uses Smoke 9 + Smoke 11 as their

anti-eco default

  • Nigma Galaxy uses Smoke 5 + Smoke 8 as their

post-plant default
