Brawl Stars Season 21 'Glow Up' launches August 11 with 3 new brawlers, the new 'Glow Up' modifier system, ranked rework, and the anniversary event. Supercell's biggest mobile update of 2026.

Brawl Stars Season 21 "Glow Up" launches August 11, 2026 with the biggest update of 2026. The new season adds 3 new brawlers, the new "Glow Up" modifier system, a ranked rework, and the anniversary event.
What's new
- 3 new brawlers: Zip, Pip, and
Glow (a Mythic brawler)
- Glow Up modifier — a new
match modifier that buffs under- used brawlers
- Ranked rework — the new
"Champion League" tier above Masters
- Anniversary event — 2 years of
Brawl Stars
The 3 new brawlers
- Zip (Chromatic rarity) — a
long-range sniper with a "zip" mechanic that teleports to enemies hit
- Pip (Chromatic rarity) — a
support brawler with a "pip" mechanic that buffs nearby allies
- Glow (Mythic rarity) — the
new Mythic brawler. A brawler that grows in power as the match progresses. Most-powerful Mythic released in 2026.
Glow is the first Mythic brawler with a "growth" mechanic. Start of match: weak. End of match: can 1v3 the entire enemy team.
The Glow Up modifier
The new Glow Up modifier is a match-wide buff system:
- Each brawler has a "Glow Up" tier
(Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum)
- The tier is determined by usage
in the past 7 days
- Under-used brawlers (Bronze) get
+15% damage and +20% health in the next match
- Over-used brawlers (Platinum)
get -10% damage
The system is designed to combat the meta by encouraging players to pick off-meta brawlers. The first match with a Bronze-tier brawler is a "free win" of sorts.
The ranked rework
The new Champion League tier replaces the old "Mythic" tier:
- Top 1,000 players in each
region are promoted to Champion
- The Champion ladder is a
separate queue from Masters
- The Champion rewards are
10,000 Star Points + a Champion-tier ranked skin
- The rewards are time-limited
(must be claimed within 30 days)
The Champion tier is the new "competitive endgame" for Brawl Stars. Most-pro players in 2026 are grinding for the Champion tier.
The 2-year anniversary event
Brawl Stars went F2P in December 2018, so August 2026 is the 2-year anniversary of the F2P launch (and the 6-year anniversary of the original). The rewards:
- 500 Starr Drops (the in-game
loot box)
- 3 new Chromatic brawlers
(free)
- 2 exclusive anniversary skins
- 1 anniversary pin
- 1 animated title ("Brawl
Veteran")
What's next
- Aug 11: Season 21 launches
- Sep 8: Mid-season balance
patch
- Oct 13: Season 21 ends
- Oct 20: Season 22 (rumored
"Brawlidays" theme)
