Cathedral of Bones raid

The Cathedral of Bones is the first 12-player raid in Diablo Immortal. It launches with 3 bosses and a 4-week lockout.

  • Boss 1: Skeleton King — fight the

reanimated king of Tristram, with mechanics that require 4 players to absorb

  • Boss 2: Diablo (corrupted) — a corrupted

form of the Lord of Terror, with 3 phases

  • Boss 3: Malthael (raid version) — the

Angel of Death returns as the raid's final boss

Each boss has unique mechanics that require 12-player coordination. The raid is tuned for Paragon 400+ characters.

Rewards:

  • Crate of Bones (raid-exclusive loot

table)

  • Raid-specific set pieces
  • Mount: "Bonewing Drake" (5% drop rate

from final boss)

  • Title: "Bone Collector" (1-time reward

for clearing)

  • 2 Legendary Gems (guaranteed from final

boss, monthly)

2 new Helliquary bosses

The Helliquary is Diablo Immortal's single- player boss mode. Season 15 adds 2 new bosses:

  • Lilith — Daughter of Hatred, the

antagonist of Diablo IV. The Helliquary version is a recreation of her Sanctuary invasion.

  • Diablo — the Lord of Terror himself.

The Helliquary version is the original Diablo form from Diablo I.

Each boss has:

  • 3 difficulty tiers (Helliquary I, II,

III)

  • Unique rewards (Souliquary upgrades,

legendary gems)

  • One weekly clear (with bonus rewards

for the first clear of the week)

Lilith and Diablo are the first 2 bosses of the "Prime Evils" series — more bosses (Mephisto, Baal, Azmodan) will be added in future seasons.

Monetization rollback

This is the biggest change in the patch. Blizzard is removing the Legendary Crate system entirely:

  • Before: pay-to-roll legendary gems via

Legendary Crates

  • After: all legendary gems are earned

via gameplay, with deterministic drop rates

The change is a response to community backlash about the Legendary Crate monetization in 2024-2025. The dev team acknowledged in a BlizzCon 2026 panel that "the Legendary Crate system was unsustainable for the long-term health of the game."

The Eternal Orbs (premium currency) remain but are now used for cosmetic-only purchases. The paid battle pass remains but with adjusted pricing.

This is the most aggressive monetization rollback in Diablo Immortal's history.

The Dry Steppes (new zone)

The Dry Steppes is a new Act VI zone for level 60+ players. The zone is:

  • Desert-themed — open area with multiple

sub-zones

  • 3 new Helliquary incursion points
  • 2 new world bosses (re-spawning every

3 hours)

  • New story content — 6 quests that

bridge the gap between Act V and the new raid

The zone is smaller than the Fractured Plains but more focused. Expect 4-5 hours of story content and 20+ hours of endgame farming.

Spiritborn class

The Spiritborn is Diablo IV's class, now added to Immortal. The class is a glaive- wielding warrior that summons animal spirits.

  • Primary weapon: Glaive
  • Spirit animals: Jaguar, Eagle, Gorilla,

Centipede

  • Combo system: animal-specific

abilities that synergize

  • Playstyle: mid-range, high mobility

The Spiritborn is the 8th class in Diablo Immortal. The class is free to unlock for existing players via a level 60 quest chain.
