Valorant patch 9.07b notes — Sage wall HP buff, Ascent tweaks, Reyna flash duration fix

Riot deployed Valorant patch 9.07b on Aug 12, 2026 at 18:00 UTC. Client restart required. The patch is a balance hotfix ahead of the larger 9.08 mid-season update expected in September.

Sage changes

Barrier Orb (C) durability:

• HP increased: 400 → 500
• Sage wall segments now take 1 extra rifle bullet to

break

• This is a direct response to Sage's 47% pick rate

in ranked (down from 55% pre-nerf) and 49% win rate in pro play. The wall was nerfed in 9.06 (Sage players will remember the wall HP reduction) and this is a partial revert.

Slow Orb (Q) duration:

• Unchanged (still 5 seconds, 50% slow)

Reyna changes

Leer (E) duration fix:

• Duration increased: 1.6s → 2.0s
• The original 9.07 patch had a bug where Reyna's Leer

duration was 1.6s instead of the intended 2.0s. This hotfix corrects the duration.

• Practical impact: Reyna's Leer is now actually

disorienting for the full 2 seconds, making her A-tier again in pro play

Dismiss (X) cooldown:

• Unchanged (still 2 charges, 6s cooldown per charge)

Ascent map changes

Mid boxes repositioned:

• The two mid boxes on Ascent have been **moved 4 units

to the T-side** of their original positions

• This gives CT-side players a slightly longer peek

window into mid

• Pro teams have been requesting this change for 2

patches — T-side was over-favored on Ascent due to the original box positioning

A-site default plant position:

• The default plant position (the spot where the bomb

is hardest to defuse from) is now 1 unit to the right of the original position

• This is a minor adjustment that gives defenders

a slightly better default angle

Premier Act 3 schedule

Riot confirmed the Premier Act 3 schedule:

• Aug 14 - Aug 20: Open qualifier (5v5, 7-round Bo1)
• Aug 21 - Aug 27: Closed qualifier (top 8 teams

advance)

• Aug 28 - Sep 3: Playoffs (top 4 teams)
• Sep 4 - Sep 10: Act 3 finals

Top 4 teams from Act 3 qualify for VCT 2026 Champions in November.

VCT 2026 Champions ticket pre-sale

VCT 2026 Champions is scheduled for Nov 14-24, 2026 in Berlin, Germany. Tickets go on pre-sale Aug 15 at 10:00 UTC. The main sale opens Aug 17 at 10:00 UTC.

Bug fixes

• Fixed a client crash when watching a VCT match

replay

• Fixed a visual glitch where Sage's wall would

appear to float 1 unit off the ground in some lighting conditions

• Fixed a buy menu bug where the Classic pistol

would show the wrong price in some currencies

• Fixed a Premier draft bug where teams could be

locked out of their draft selection for 30 seconds after a disconnect

What this patch does NOT change

• No agent nerfs (no Jett/Raze nerfs in this

hotfix)

• No weapon changes (the Phantom/Vandal meta is

unchanged)

• No new map (Pearl and Lotus remain the newest

maps)

• No agent reworks (Iso and Waylay are unchanged)

The mid-season 9.08 patch (expected Sep 9) is rumored to include the first duelist rework since Iso's launch in

1. Riot hasn't confirmed which agent is being

reworked, but the community is betting on Neon (the most-played but lowest-performing duelist in the current meta).
