The 2 new heroes
The 2026 Crownfall arc introduced 6 new heroes across 3 acts. The 2 new heroes in 7.41 (Act III) are:
- Skywrath Sentinel rework — a
full rework of the classic Skywrath Mage. The hero is now a INT support (was INT nuker). New ultimate that gives bonus magic damage to allies.
- Crown — a new melee STR hero.
Crown is the 124th hero in Dota 2. The hero uses a "Crown of the Five" mechanic that buffs allies when they're low HP.
Crown is the first hero designed around a "guardian" playstyle that rewards staying alive longer.
The Crownfall epilogue
The Crownfall epilogue is a free single-player campaign that concludes the 2026 Crownfall story. The epilogue:
- Is 5 hours of solo content
- Has 3 difficulty modes
- Includes 3 new bosses (the
final fight is the most-difficult in Dota 2)
- Rewards exclusive cosmetics
(crown cosmetic, the "True Crown" title)
- Unlocks after Act III's main
questline
The epilogue is the final piece of the 2026 Crownfall story arc. After the epilogue, the next major storyline will be the 2027 arc (rumored to be "The Sea King").
Aghanim's Labyrinth rework
Aghanim's Labyrinth is the popular co-op roguelike mode. The rework:
- New difficulty tier (Insane,
harder than the current "Master")
- 3 new heroes (Skywrath Sentinel
rework counts as a new hero for this purpose)
- 10 new rooms (the most in any
update)
- New currency (the "Apex Shard",
earned from completing Master+ difficulty)
- New cosmetics (15 new Aghanim's
Labyrinth skins)
The Labyrinth is now the most- played co-op mode in Dota 2.
