FragPunk's Season 2 launches August 28 with the most content drop the game has had since launch. Bad Guitar Studio announced the details at the FragPunk World Cup in Seoul.

The 3 new heroes
- Ronin (Duelist) — katana melee with a dash that resets
on elimination. Built for the high-skill carry player.
- Bulwark (Vanguard) — heavy shield with a self-heal
ultimate. The first true main-tank in the game.
- Echo (Strategist) — long-range heal/boost that can
flip fights from across the map.

Why it matters
Season 1 was the "we launched, we're figuring it out" season. Season 2 is the first real "we know what we're doing" content drop, and the hero additions address the biggest complaint from launch — the small hero pool. With 23 heroes after August 28, FragPunk finally has the depth to challenge Marvel Rivals as the second-place hero shooter.
What's next
Season 3 is confirmed for late 2026 with the first F2P crossover event. Bad Guitar Studio hasn't named the partner IP yet, but the teaser trailer showed a sci-fi aesthetic that matches the Helldivers 2 art direction. Watch for the official announcement in November.
